Ask five Dubai operators what a yacht costs and you will get five ranges, none of them comparable. So rather than quote a range, we measured the list we publish ourselves: 160 boats on charter in Dubai, every one of them with a published hourly rate, read on 29 September 2026. Of those, 141 are listed on our public price page right now; the rest are boats whose berth is still being confirmed, and they carry rates in exactly the same way.
What an hour actually costs
The median rate across the 160 boats is 1,850 AED per hour. The cheapest is 399; the most expensive is 35,300. What matters more than the median is that the fleet has almost no middle:
- 41 boats under 1,000 AED/hr
- 39 boats between 1,000 and 2,000
- 39 boats between 2,000 and 5,000
- 41 boats above 5,000
Four near-equal quarters. That is why an “average price for a yacht in Dubai” tells you nothing: the number sits in a gap that only a handful of boats occupy. The useful question is not what the average is, but which quarter your evening belongs to.
Guests move the price. Feet mostly do not
Sorting the same 160 rates by how many guests each boat is licensed to carry gives a much steadier ladder than sorting by length:

Note the “cheapest” column. At every group size there is a boat priced far below the median for that size — 1,400 AED/hr for fifty guests against a median of 5,990. Capacity is what you are really buying, and within each capacity the spread is wide enough to be worth asking about.
Hours change the price more than the boat does
The same hull carries three different effective rates depending on how long you book it:
- by the hour, the fleet median is 1,850 AED
- on an eight-hour package, the median works out at 1,225 AED an hour (153 boats)
- on a full twenty-four hours, 667 AED an hour (154 boats)
Put differently: the eight-hour package costs a median of 5.3 hourly rates. You pay for a little over five hours and go out for eight. On 130 of the 153 boats that offer it, the day package is at least 20% below the clock.
What the rate includes, and what it does not
On our list, crew, fuel and onboard equipment are included in the hourly rate. 5% VAT is not and is added on top. Minimum charter length and availability vary by yacht and by season, which is why we confirm both before anyone pays anything.
Those are the three lines worth extracting from any quote before you compare it with another. A rate 20% below ours stops being 20% below once fuel is billed separately, and a rate that looks identical is not identical if one of them has VAT inside and the other does not.
Four questions that make two quotes comparable
- Is fuel in the rate, or metered? Fuel on a 90 ft yacht is not a rounding error.
- Is the crew in the rate? Captain and deckhand are not optional, so if they are not included they are coming later.
- Is VAT shown or added? 5% in the UAE, and quotes differ on where they put it.
- What is the minimum, and what is the cancellation window? Both vary by boat and season here, and both change what the booking really costs.
Six boats on the public list have no length at all
On the price page, six of the 141 rows show a dash instead of a length. We would rather publish a dash than publish the number from the boat’s name, because those two are routinely different: across our fleet the advertised size is usually larger than the hull, and two boats sold under the same “70 ft” label can sit five times apart in price. Every rate quoted here is published per boat, with length and guest capacity beside it, on our yacht rental prices page. It is generated from the same system this article was measured from, so the figures here and the figures there are the same figures, and both change when a rate changes.
